- K – 6 topics provide a way for us to connect nationwide – to combine local outcomes into national outcomes. It is a small organizational component that yields far-reaching outcomes.
- Community members come to know the grades in charge of specific service topics, as each grade takes responsibility for updating their area of the community checklist.
- These sequenced year-long service engagements create an educational foundation of service learning where students can look forward to their next community leadership role.
- Beyond their grade level year long community leadership role, students and teachers are free to engage in other project work and communicate with the appropriate grade in charge of the topic area.
